Pacific Wireless rapidly rolls out Wireless IP infrastructure
across Australia

Decisions to aim for an ultra-reliable service in wireless broadband
technology are paying off for Pacific Wireless, an Australian
telecommunications provider.
Pacific Wireless selected Enterasys as its network technology
supplier, in a million-dollar deal over several years, and commenced
rollout of a new network, including SmartSwitch Routers and wireless
RoamAboutTM in November 1999.
The company looked at many suppliers, with the simple criteria of needing a state-of-the-art product with high capacity at
